Tesco supermarket dog bite claim
Mr T from North West London was carrying out a food delivery on behalf of Tesco. He arrived at the customer’s property and rang the doorbell. As he was heading back to his van to collect the order the customer’s dog ran out of the house and bit him.
He suffered two bites to his leg, causing him nightmares and anxiety.
After contacting our helpline we offered to assist Mr T on a no win no fee basis. A letter of claim was sent to the dog owners and this resulted in their pet insurers accepting legal responsibility on their behalf.
Expert medical evidence was obtained in relation to the injuries and this report was sent to the insurers along with an offer to settle.

Iceland supermarket dog bite claim
Mr C was employed as a delivery driver for Iceland and was carrying out a delivery to a customer’s home. The customer asked him to put the delivery inside the door. As he was doing so a small white dog appeared and bit him on his hand.
Mr C went to his local hospital in Dudley where his wound was cleaned and dressed. He was left with a scar and a fear of dogs.
The dog owners’ insurers denied legal liability on behalf of the dog owners. We therefore instructed a canine behaviourist to provide expert evidence in support Mr C’s claim. This resulted in the insurers making an initial offer of £1,000 in settlement of the claim, but after some negotiations we were able to get this increased to £4,500.
